  7. LaserBank 2000D (DAT) is a data-compression drive that packs from 2 - 8 GB of
  8. data on 90m tape and can accommodate nondata compression technology. The DAT
  9. interface allows users to access devices through normal I/O functions (i.e.,
  10. cpio (C), tar (C), tape (C)). Three device nodes are provided for drive access:
  11. rewind on device open, no rewind on device open, and drive administration
  12. control. These tapes, through SCSI Express controlled tape drive, can be used
  13. under DOS or OS/2 systems.
